Kemp Boyd

Pastor

Kemp knew from an early age what he was made to do. His adult life embodies those childhood dreams to lead, coach, and speak publicly. Kemp is affectionately known as “Pastor Coach” because he leads us with a pastor’s heart in a spirit of authenticity, coaching us how to share with vulnerability, inviting us to do the same.

Kemp has Southern roots growing up in Tennessee and Georgia, moving to Ohio during high school. He is a graduate of The University of Akron (undergrad) and Ashford University (masters). He is the Executive Director of Love Akron and the Head Coach of the Garfield-Kenmore football team. Go Rams!

Kemp met “sister” Stacy at church and he pursued her with classic Kemp swagger. They were married in 2005 – and haven’t looked back since. They have six children; Virginia, Asa, Ashlyn, Majer, Umari and Matthias.
